Job Title: Intermediate-Level Florist (On-Site & Travel) Location: NJ/NYC Metropolitan Area (Travel required within region)Employment Type: Part-Time (as per business needs) About the Role We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Intermediate-Level Florist with a passion for cultural event design, particularly weddings, festivals, and religious ceremonies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in floral arrangements, décor setup, and venue styling, with the ability to work efficiently on-site and travel to event locations across the NJ/NYC metro area. Key Responsibilities Floral Arrangement & Design Create fresh floral arrangements for weddings, receptions, engagements, and festivals. Design and assemble garlands, floral mandaps, stage backdrops, centerpieces, and aisle décor. Transport, set up, and dismantle floral décor at various venues. Ensure arrangements remain fresh, vibrant, and secure during transportation and throughout the event . Work alongside event planners and decorators for cohesive design execution. Communicate effectively with clients to understand cultural and aesthetic preferences. Willingness to travel across the NJ/NYC metropolitan area for installations and pickups. Skills & Qualifications 2–4 years of professional floral design experience, preferably in wedding/event settings. Knowledge of free style stage décor design. Proficiency in centerpiece design, and large-scale floral installations. Strong eye for color, proportion, and symmetry. Ability to adapt designs to various themes (traditional, modern, fusion). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on feet for extended hours. Comfortable working early mornings, late nights, and weekends based on event schedules. Strong attention to detail and time management. Problem-solving mindset for on-site challenges. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred but not required, travel outside of local areas will be taken care of. Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory but a Plus) Experience with fusion and cross-cultural event décor. Basic knowledge of event lighting and draping coordination. Floral design certifications or training.
